Mount Haguro is well known for mountain priests' training site. You may come across the real moutain priest. Let's climb up 2446 stone steps to the top of the mountain. Flower festival is held on July 15th every year. Hanabonten decorated with artificial flowers and makes a circuit of the precinct.
Visitors scramble for flowers at the end of the festivel since they are believed to work as a protection label.
Access:40 minutes by bus from JT Tsuruoka station, 40 minutes on foot from Haguro center, or 5 minutes on foot from the last stop.
