Where does Yamagata locate?
Yamagata prefecture is located at the Tohoku district; the northeastern region of Japan
surrounded by hills on three sides, the area with a rich natural environment.
It is about 300km north of Tokyo, approximately three hours by the Yamagata Superexpress.
It is well-known for cherries, which occupies 70 percent of production in Japan, and also
noted for Yonezawa beef.
Moreover, Yamagata is the only prefecture where there are hot springs in every single
municipalities, therefore a "Hot spring paradise".
