♦Three great architecture of Meiji and Taisyo era still have remnant of old times.
The old Higashitagawa piblic office is right infront of the gate. Its completion was in the beginning of Maiji period, now passing down the flourish history of Fujishima.
A bright white western style building, the old House of Higashitagawa county is on the left hand side. Inside the old Higashitagawa electric enterprise association hall, Japan's largest Maruki ship excavated in the town is displayed.

Access:30 minutes from Yamagata highway Shonai Asahi IC via prefectural road 44 toward Fujishima.

Cold ramen:Yamagata is the birthplace for cold ramen; the chinese noodle.
