Zao hot spring

Zao hot spring is one of the OuuSantakayu said to be discovered by Tagayu Kibino who followed Yamato takeruno mikoto for east conquest. Zao hot spring is popular as a use of balneotherapy with its rare properties of alum vitriol springs. In the middle of the town, the street is lined with hotels and the odor of sulfer fouls the nose of tourists. At the very back of Zao hot spring town, there is a "great open air spa" where 200 people can bath at the same time. Milk-whilte colored hot water gushing out with rush. Zao hot spring has three common bathes and Yamagata Zao hot spring ski run in its back. In the neighborhood of Zao hot spring, there are a crater of Zao, Zao highland, trees covered with snow and ice, temple in the mountains and many other tourist attractions.

Spring:Cherry blossoms are at their best from April.
Summer:Hot. Visiting hamlet is recommended.
Fall:Beauty of the leaves when turned in autum. Imoni festivals everywhere!
