Kaminoyama hot spring

Kaminoyama hot spring is known as one of the "Ouu Sanrakugo" along with Higashiyama in Kaizu, and Yunohama in Shonai. There are numerous hot springs in each regions, and they are collectively called "Kaminoyama hot spring". Foot bath are setted up everywhere, and seven common public bath are studed, so called "80 yen hot spring".
It is said that the Buddhist priest Takuan also took a bath in the oldest "SimoOyu", and "Yumachi no yu" still has traditional atmosphere of common public bath.

Access: Station Kaminoyama-Onsen -> 10min walking / highway Yamagata to deviate Yamagata Zao IC -> 15km 20min.


Sightseeing in Yamagata
Spring:Cherry blossoms are at their best from April.
Summer:Hot. Visiting hamlet is recommended.
Fall:Beauty of the leaves when turned in autum. Imoni festivals everywhere!
Winter:Freezing cold with snow, and the trees will be coverd with them and ice.
Snow:Cold, but not as delicous as shaved ice.
