About 17.8km of mountain sightseeing line leads from Shirabu hotspring on Yamagata side and Bibara lake on Hukuoka side. With Zao echo line and Azuma sky line, they are shaping the three South Ou lines.
The beauty of colored leaves are phenomenal in every fall season. Have a break in Soryu canyon where you can see the Red waterfall and Black waterfall, the outlootlook of South azuma from Kinpei, or Shirabu hill looking down the Bibara lake. Tachiyama park is also known as the park of cherry trees.

Spring:Cherry blossoms are at their best from April.
Summer:Hot. Visiting hamlet is recommended.
Fall:Beauty of the leaves when turned in autum. Imoni festivals everywhere!
Winter:Freezing cold with snow, and the trees will be coverd with them and ice.
Snow:Cold, but not as delicous as shaved ice.

Yonezawa Beef:As known as "Matsuzaka" of the west, and "Yonezawa" of the east.
Imoni:One of the local dishes of Yamagata which beef soup and taro roots are boiled and seasoned together.
Soba:Buckwheat noodles.
Cold ramen:Yamagata is the birthplace for cold ramen; the chinese noodle.
