About Matsugamisaki park

♦Let's stroll the castle town of Uesugi's.
The park was located in the site of the Yonezawa castle, where there are Uesugi Shrine and Kensyo Den as well. The castle itself is already demolished, yet you will be able to feel their history from remaining stone fences and moats around the park.
Broad premises of the park is perfect for strolling.
The park is popular as a spot of cherry blossom-viewing picnics since there are about 200 cherry trees planted. The park is known as a birthplace of Masamune Date.
