About Kaminoyama castle

♦Admired as a "great castle of U state".
The symbol of Mt. Kamino, Kaminoyama castle was built in 1535. Because of its magnificence, the temple was admired as a great castle of U state. The history of Mt. Kamino and information of Yamagata sightseeing is introduced with panels inside the castle.
Special exhibition is held 5-6 times in a year displaying swords, dolls and other articles of Yamagata culture.

Access:7 minutes on foot from Yamagata super express Kaminoyama onsen station.


Sightseeing in Yamagata
Spring:Cherry blossoms are at their best from April.
Summer:Hot. Visiting hamlet is recommended.
Fall:Beauty of the leaves when turned in autum. Imoni festivals everywhere!
Winter:Freezing cold with snow, and the trees will be coverd with them and ice.
Snow:Cold, but not as delicous as shaved ice.

Soba:Buckwheat noodles.
Cold ramen:Yamagata is the birthplace for cold ramen; the chinese noodle.
