This fountain is 112 m tall which is the highest in Japan, popular as a symbol of Nishikawa town. During July, the fountain is illuminated at night showing its fantastic figure. Gassan summer festival is held every last Saturday in July. Many events related to water are planned in the town.

Access:20 minutes from Yamagata highway Nishikawa IC via R112, toward Tsuruoka.
