A memorial museum introducing Tokunai Mogami's life history and achievements who was born in Tateoka villege in the end of Edo era during national seclusion. He examined unexplored northern archipelago for 9 times, and wrote books and maps of what he had seen and heard.
His achievement introduced by Siebold is now acquiring high value nationally.
