♦Let's make souvenior and memory with handmade experience.
The building is the reuse of Kanayama elementary school which closed in 1996.
Farming village experience class is held 4 times in a year and handmade experience classes are available for both childrena and adults. All the classes require reservations and their contents are full of variety such as buckwheat noodle making or dyeing goods with natural plants.
From May to October, going for the old silver mine exploration is available. Reservation is mainly from a group of more than 5 people. Need inquiry for more detailed information.

Access:1 hour and 40 minutes from Yamagata highway Yamagata IC via R13 toward Shinjo.


Sightseeing in Yamagata
Spring:Cherry blossoms are at their best from April.
Summer:Hot. Visiting hamlet is recommended.
Fall:Beauty of the leaves when turned in autum. Imoni festivals everywhere!
Winter:Freezing cold with snow, and the trees will be coverd with them and ice.
Snow:Cold, but not as delicous as shaved ice.

Cherries:70% of cherries in Japan are produced in Yamagata Prefecture.
La France pears:The queen of the fruits is also Yamagata's best production.
Yonezawa Beef:As known as "Matsuzaka" of the west, and "Yonezawa" of the east.
Imoni:One of the local dishes of Yamagata which beef soup and taro roots are boiled and seasoned together.
Soba:Buckwheat noodles.
Cold ramen:Yamagata is the birthplace for cold ramen; the chinese noodle.
