About Sennindo

♦An old temple with the legend of Yoshitsune, that Basyo visited at one time.
It is said that one the way to escape to Okusyu hiraizumi with his brother Yoritomo pursuing after his, Yoshitsune dropped by Sennindo. It even appears on Basyo's travel sketch "Okuno Hosomichi". A ferry boat and Yoshitsunemaru, the ship going around Mogami in an hour.
If you are taking ferry, have a coffee dripped with springwater. Reservation is required between December and March.
