About Tomb of Uesugis

♦"Uesugis byosyo", or mausoleum place is where the little shrines of 12 successive masters of Uesugis are all lined up starting from Kenshin Uesugi.
This graveyard is quietly surrounded by giant Japanese cedar trees which are over 300 years old.
Placing Kenshin the first in the middle, and remains of Uesugis from gerneration to generation are lined up right and left of Kenshin Uesugis' alternately.
Construction of each shrines differs depends on their days, however, they all look simple coming down from the family tradition of Uesugis.
Let's tour their family temple and Houon temple right next to the shrine..

Soba:Buckwheat noodles.
Cold ramen:Yamagata is the birthplace for cold ramen; the chinese noodle.
