About Shinjo Higashiyama Yaki and Yahei kiln
♦Simple and powerful style of pottery which matches with Mogami's climate.
Since 1841, the kiln has been protected for 5 generations. Its' feature is using special glaze, the precious heirloom. A shot glass for Sake and a small vase are popular items.
The ceramic art class (1,500yen, children 750 yen) and paiting class (from 500 yen) are held.
